Changes are coming to Rochester with the imminent opening of the shiny new train station a few hundred metres from the current one. Those commuting to and from the current station have had their day brightened up for many years by the large paintings by former RIC students which graced the walls along the passageway between platforms.
The current station kindly gave permission to RIC Photography students to document it, with the aim being for the photos to hang proudly as a reminder in the new building. It will be sad to see the old station go, particularly with its proximity to the college (it just across the road), but thanks in part to our students it will never be forgotten.
